Charlie Puth flies thousands of miles to ask his best friend one important question

Charlie Puth is officially an engaged man after he flew to New York to propose to his girlfriend Brooke Sansone.

The music star went Insta official with his partner in December 2022 as he celebrated his 31st birthday. However, he first hinted at a relationship three years prior, as he could be heard speaking to her on an Instagram Live.

Charlie Puth is the ‘happiest, best version’ of himself

Taking to his 18 million Instagram followers Charlie shared the happy news with his fans, after flying to New York to pop the question.

In the caption of the post, he wrote: “I flew to New York to ask my best friend to marry me, and she said yes. I am the happiest, best version of myself and it is all because of you Brookie. I love you endlessly forever and ever and ever.”

In the first photo, the two can be seen either snapping a selfie or on FaceTime with a loved one as they’re all smiles holding glasses of wine, with Brooke’s new bling in full show.

The teardrop ring can be seen more closely in the second pic, in a close-up with pepperoni pizza. In the final pic, the pair conical recreated a Lady and the Tramp moment with the cheesy snack.

Fans are over the moon for the couple

Fans and celebrity friends took to the post to send congratulations to the happy couple, with the post almost racking up a million likes within hours of posting.

“No but I can’t wait to see mini Charlies and mini Brookies,” wrote one fan.

The 31-year-old’s sister, Mikaela, penned: “Mr baby Ford is getting ready for the big day!”

“My favorite people!!!!!! are getting married!!!!!” exclaimed another.

Another fan screamed: “Omg omg omg I’m so happy and absolutely crying to see my idol getting married!!”

John Legend also sent his congrats in the comments.

Charlie and Brooke grew up together

Although the star has been pretty private in his relationship with the 24-year-old, in a 2022 appearance on SiriusXM’s The Howard Stern Show, Puth revealed the two grew up together.

Considering the “craziness” of his career, the Light Switch singer revealed that it was “nice” to have someone he’d known for a “long time” by his side.

According to her LinkedIn profile, Brooke works as a digital marketing and public relations coordinator for Butter and Eggs Interiors in New York City, where Charlie proposed.
